Nature has many scenes to exhibit, constantly repainting the landscape. Welcome to that change in December!  I am very excited to continue this month with our practice through mindful movement and balance, and to keep us on track during the holidays to a greater awareness of our own well-being.
Starting Tuesday December 6th: Yoga with Weights for Healthy Aging 
I will be incorporating Yoga with Weights into Tuesday’s 9am class, as this has been a request by many students.
Resistance training is intended to increase muscular strength and endurance. It involves exercising muscles using some form of resistance. This resistance could be weights, bands, or even your own bodyweight (as in yoga) working against gravity.  Adding just small weights to your yoga practice will give you the opportunity to help build muscle mass and give you a challenge to your own practice. In our yoga class we practice through our own individual needs, and weights do not have to be used in every pose.

Friday December 23rd: Special Christmas Class 9am 
Take this time to actively choose to gift yourself to this restorative practice.  Put on some comfy clothes, your Christmas socks, a cozy blanket and a pillow or two, and join me in the warm and serene environment of the studio. 
(This class takes the place of our Yin & Yang Class on this Christmas Eve day. No special pass is required.)
