Monday 9:00am-10:15: Intentional Movement A safe yet challenging class that accommodates a wide range of experience levels, working on stability, strength and flexibility. Relaxation is incorporated at the end of every class to leave you feeling recharged and connected.
Tuesday 9:00am-10:15: Yoga for Healthy Bones and Balance Designed to strengthen all muscle groups and supporting your core, this class will assist in injury prevention, balance, functional strength, and improve your fitness readiness so you can enjoy all the activities life has to offer. Improve the health and longevity of your bones as bones are living tissues and respond very well with the use of weigh training. Fifteen minutes of stretching at the end of class makes sure you leave feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Hand weights are provided and are optional. Tuesday 11:00am-12:00: Therapeutic Yoga A class that promotes self-healing, a movement-based practice for those recovering from an injury, or dealing with chronic health challenges. Each student is given personal attention with adaptations and adjustments according to individual needs for a safe practice. This class is intended to help you feel comfotable within your own body. Wednesday 9:00am-10:15 Yin Yoga Yin yoga provides opportunity to learn more about our bodies. Slow-paced, as poses are held for a longer period as we target the deeper tissues of the body, including the fascia. Most Yin poses are performed on the floor and focus on a specific part of the body such as the hips, pelvis,and lower spine. Yin also offers us mental and emotional benefits. A very calming class. Props are provided.
Thursday 9:00am-10:15: Gentle Hatha An integrative and holistic practice, Yoga really trains us to notice what is happening within us, and that translates to the choices we make daily—for nourishment, sleep, relationships, and generally, how we interact with the world around us. Friday 9:00am-10:15: Yin Yang Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice, bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. The practice of yin/yang yoga helps us learn about stillness in movement and the flow in stillness. Find your balance inside and out, and leave feeling good! Everybody is welcome and props are provided.
