Intermediate Yoga: Monday 9am with Julia This class will emphasize building a heightened awareness of the body on multiple levels and use that awareness to access the deeper work of yoga. Here we invite joy, connection, and a rewarding sense of purpose by incorporating the philosophy of the eight limbs of yoga. Beginners Yoga: Monday & Wednesdays 10:15 with Shelley This class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in yoga postures. Students will be introduced to these postures step-by-step with verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on understanding, safety, and stability. A great class to build from and feel confident to go forward in your practice. Vinyasa Flow: Tuesdays 9am with Shelley Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word meaning "led by the breath in a special way." It is sometimes referred to as "meditation in motion," here we use creative sequencing to promote physical strength and flexibility. Awareness of our breath helps the mind as we connect with our physical body. Modifications are always given. Therapeutic Essentials: Tuesday & Thursdays 11-12 with Shelley This gentle/restorative yoga class is for those recovering from an injury or recently released from physical therapy. It is also appropriate for those with chronic conditions. We create a safe environment that brings awareness to mind and body which is a major key to the healing process. Gentle Hatha: Thursday 9am with Jani In this practice, movements are synchronized with the breath, turning rigidity into fluidity. The class presents an opportunity to slow down and be present. We focus on stretching, toning and alignment. There will be emphasis on breathing exercises to de-stress the mind and modifications to personalize this practice for you. This Gentle Hatha is accessible to all practitioners. Yin Yoga: Wednesday 9am with Shelley Yin Yoga is a quiet and simple practice, but not necessarily an easy one. Yin works deeply into our body. It targets our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks rather than the muscles. This class consists of a series of long-held (up to 5 mins each), passive floor poses. Accessible to all practitioners. Yin/Yang Fusion: Friday 9-10:15 with Shelley Heat up your body from within using dynamic yang yoga postures to stretch and strengthen muscular tissues. Then cool it down followed by yin yoga postures. Beginning to combine yin and yang poses help to balance out your practice and give your body what it truly needs. Saturday Yoga: 9am. with Shelley Start your weekend with this fun all-levels practice! We will weave a variety of yoga styles here with practical and relate-able themes. Enjoy this community practice for all levels. Gentle Sundays: 10am with Jani An inspirational Sunday practice where we move slowly from one posture to the next. Private Sessions (Now Available with Shelley) I design these private sessions to address your specific yoga needs. I share my knowledge and instruct proper alignment of each pose. My private instruction allows room for confidential discussion about your health history in order to maximize your practice, specifically tailored for you. These sessions provide beginners a solid foundation, as well as allow experienced practitioners to refine their practice. My consultations are free. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
