Mindful Vinyasa: Monday 9am with Julia This is an energizing practice which consists of a continuous series of flowing postures linked together with breath. This class integrates mindfulness with classical yoga asana, encouraging heightened awareness in order to guide one’s attention to the present moment. We invite joy, connection, and a rewarding sense of purpose by incorporating the philosophy of the eight limbs of yoga. Open to all practitioners. Beginners Yoga: Monday & Wednesdays 10:30 with Shelley This class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in yoga postures. There will be verbal description and demonstration as the emphasis is placed on understanding, safety, and stability. A great class to build from and feel confident to go forward in your practice. Vinyasa Flow: Tuesdays 9am with Shelley Vinyasa means "arranged in a special way”. In this class poses are linked together and movement is inspired by the rhythm of our breath. Along with creative sequencing there are times of holding and stillness to savor the posture and feel from the inside out. This revitalizing practice connects you to the wisdom, strength and grace of your own body. Therapeutic Essentials: Tuesday & Thursdays 11-12 with Shelley This gentle movement and restorative class is for those recovering from an injury or recently released from physical therapy. It is also appropriate for those with chronic conditions. Cancer patients are attending this class as well, as we create a safe environment that brings awareness to mind and body which is a major key to the healing process. Gentle Hatha: Thursday 9am with Shelley This class presents an opportunity to slow down and be present. We focus on stretching, toning and alignment. We create modifications to personalize this practice for you. This Gentle Hatha is accessible to all practitioners. Yin Yoga: Wednesday 9am with Shelley Yin is a quiet practice. It consists of floor-supported postures that are held for a minimum of two minutes to encourage safe openings of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. It improves posture, assists in a more fluid gait, and enhances overall balance.Yin Yoga allows meditation to be part of the yoga experience AND is a great compliment to the more active styles of yoga. Evening Classes:Wednesday 5pm with Julia Gentle Hatha (beginner friendly) for those who want to take their time getting into poses, focusing on proper alignment with modifications. Enjoy deep stretching and leave feeling relaxed. Upbeat Flow: 6:15pm-7:15 with Julia An opportunity to challenge your strength and your ability to surrender. Each class is a uniquely sequenced practice set to music, allowing you to feel, breathe and be in your body. Be prepared to discover your very best self. Deep stretching and a quiet, peaceful savasana offered at the end of class. VinYin: Friday 9-10:15 with Shelley This class begins with a basic Vinyasa practice using intelligent sequenced poses and traditional breath exercises, to provide the platform for a strong, safe and flowing practice. The pace is deliberate with clear instructions, allowing time for understanding alignment and exploration. The second half of the class is a Yin practice, which incorporates deeper stretching and stillness of body and mind. Saturday Yoga: 9-10:15 with Shelley Start your weekend with this fun all-levels practice! We will weave a variety of yoga styles here with practical and relate-able themes. Enjoy this community practice. Gentle Sundays: 10am with Jani An inspirational Sunday practice where we move slowly to take notice and find acceptance of all sensations. When our bodies are synchronized with the breath, the body surrenders and the mind relaxes. The experience is meditative.
